Burning Ban in Effect
Washington County is currently under a Burning Ban from the Minnesota DNR.
During this time, we can not issue burning permits unless a variance permit has been obtained from the DNR.

We're excited to announce that we are now operating out of our new facility on the corner of Stagecoach and 5th Avenue North. We are still finalizing some construction details, but can't wait to show the community our new home. We'll be hosting a public open house this spring. We'll post more information as soon as we can.
Code RED is a web-based system which allows the Washington County Sheriff's Office the ability to reach a large number of residents in a very short time, by geographically-based delivery of telephone and text messaging. The system allows county residents the ability to create their own account so they can add or remove numbers they want the system to call.
The following are examples of when the Code RED system may be utilized: Extended utility outages, evacuation notices, missing persons, fires, floods, bomb threats, hostage situations, chemical spills or gas leaks, and other incidents where rapid notification is essential for life safety.
To sign up and participate in the Code RED notification system, please click HERE for the Washington County Code RED enrollment web page.
